All the highlights of South- and Central Kalimantan are combined in this beautiful trip. You will witness the daily life of the population of Banjarmasin in their rivercity, you will learn about the way small diamonds are mined and you will stare your eyes out at the colourful market of Martapura. In Central-Kalimantan you will make a unique boattrip across narrow black rivers to see a diverse fauna consisting of monkeys, crocodiles and many birds. Eventually you will see eye to eys with the big red anthropoid: the orang-utan!Day 1 Banjarmasin river tour
Hotel in the citiy. In the afternoon sail the Martapura River on a canoe.
Day 2 Floating market
Visit of floating market. See local handicrafts.
Day 3 Diamond mines
See how daimonds are mined and polished.
Day 4 Tanjung Putting
Board a klotok (boat) to visit the Tanjung Puting National Park. Overnight on board.
Day 5 Tanjung Puting
Visit the main orang-utan centre, Camp Leakey.
Day 6 Tanjung Putting - Kumai
Walk through the tropical rainforest. Sail back to Kumai.
Day 7 Kumai - Pangkalanbun
Flight out.
