During this tour you get acquainted with the cultural and natural highlights of Java; the cultural places of interest include the Buddhist temple Borobudur, the temples at the mystic Dieng plateau and the Hindu Prambanan temple. But besides that you get glimpses of the "other" Java, that of stunning natural attractions; the mystic volcano of Ijen, hardly visited by any other tourists, the Bromo volcano with its lunar landscape, magnificent green tea plantations and last but not least the Meru Betiri Nature Reserve, where you will meet the majestic giant sea-turtles.

Day 1 Yogyakarta
Hotel in the centre of town. Visit of Prambanan and open air Ramsyana ballet.

Day 2 Yogyakarta
Visit of beautiful Dieng Plateau and Borobudur Temple.

Day 3 Yogyakarta, free day
Time for a tour by becak, visit traditional factories and do shopping. Day 4 Sarangan, half day walk Visit the kraton at Solo. Make beautiful trek through mountainous countryside from Sukuh temple.

Day 5 Malang
Long drive to colonial city of Malang.

Day 6 Bromo
Spectaculair drive by open jeep up the slopes of Bromo. Hotel right on the craterrim

Day 7 Kalibaru
Catch the sunrise at Bromo's crater-rim. Comfortable hotel at a plantation.

Day 8 Ijen plateau, half-day walk
Climb to Ijen plateau. See the sulphur carriers.

Day 8 Kalibaru, free day
Free day to relax or walk.

Day 10 Sukamade
Off the beaten track to Sukamade, Looking for sea turtles! Day 11 Bali Transport to the ferry to Bali.
