Pac 4 Cultural Central and East Java, 9 days

During this tour you get acquainted with THE highlights of Java, the Buddhist temple Borobudur, the temples at the mystic Dieng plateau and the Hindu Prambanan temple. We will stay at friendly Yogyakarta for 3 days and this will give you sufficient time to visit the Kraton, the many marketplaces and lots of batik workshops. Then you jump into nature and meet untouched eastern Java with its beautiful volcanoes and plantations.

Day 1 Yogyakarta
Arrival in Yogya. Stay in centrally located hotel. Leave for Prambanan, a Hindu temple complex. Witness open-air dance performance of the famous Ramayana ballet.

Day 2 Yogyakarta
Visit Diengplateau. Stroll around the temples. Visit Borobudur in the late afternoon.

Day 3 Yogyakarta, free day
Make a city-tour by becak and visit a wayang kulit and batik factory.

Day 4 Malang
Visit Solo with it's kraton. Experience colonial atmosphere in Malang.

Day 5 Bromo
Tea plantation visit. Stay in hotel at craterrim next to Bromo.

Day 6 Kalibaru
See spectacular sunrise over Bromo. Stay in nice hotel with swimming pool on plantation.

Day 7 Kalibaru
Climbing the Ijen volcano. Overwhelming view from the top.

Day 8 Kalibaru, free day
A free day: excursions like a tour to cacao-, rubber- and coffee plantations. Relax and laze by the pool.

Day 9 Bali
Ferry to Bali.
