Lomboks amazing marine life, 5 days
The dive sites in Sekotong reflect a good cross-section of what Indonesia has to offer. Dive in and be fascinated by turtles, white tip reef sharks, cuttlefish, moray eels, frog fish, ghost pipefish and untouched, fantastic corals. A highlight for all scuba enthusiasts.Day 1
Transfer airport - Sekotong. You will stay in a hotel on the beach with comfortable rooms.
Day 2 - 4
During our day trips we go on outings with 2 - 3 dives with our traditional outrigger boat and visit dive sites along the south-west coast of Lombok. You have a good dozen dive sites to choose from, as well as a multitude of exploration dive possibilities.
Day 5
Transfer Sekotong - airport.
Our favourite dive sites in South Lombok
The Highwayis a popular site for our morning dives. The reef is about 3 km long with sidetracks coming off right and left. The top starts at 18m and you will find the sandy bottom at about 32m. The variety of species is huge.
Hadiah Reef takes you down to 26m, and offers a multitude of colourful reef fish. This spot is one of our favourites for night dives, as it is the home to many lobsters and crustaceans.
Sunken Island is very popular for relaxed and colourful diving. Around the deeper coral blocks you will find groupers, batfish, trumpet fish, shy octopus, and bearded scorpion fish.
Gili Renggit offers rare species. The corals are alive with nudibranches, ghost pipefish, and colourful shrimp. See if you can find the camouflaged frogfish or let the cleaner shrimp give you a manicure.
Stairs to Medang terraces down from 14m to about 35m. You will experience a fascinating underwater landscape. The Indopacific at its best. We've seen Mantas and different species of sharks.
Batu Gendang Descent to about 25m and find big, massive blocks which give you the impression of diving a labyrinth.
Batu Mandi Dive with different species of sharks, as well as Tuna, Jacks, and Barracudas. We witnessed schools of eagle rays. For experienced divers only!
