Rinjani Trekking + top 3 days/ 2 nights
Lombok's sacred volcano, the world famous Gunung Rinjani, soars 3726m above sea level and is the second highest volcano in Indonesia. It attracts thousands of trekkers and climbers annually. The trek starts in Senaru, the gateway to the Rinjani National Park. The Rinjani National Park is a nature reserve of 41 330 hectares surrounding the volcano. The whole area is a picturesque haven, featuring magnificent waterfalls and lush and accessible jungle. The trek ends in Sembalun Lawang and includes Mt Rinjani's top, the crater rim, Segara Anak Lake and the sacred hot-springs. It will not be an easy journey, but probably an unforgettable one…Day 1
Information at the Rinjani Trek Centre. Climb to the craterrim (2641m). Camp at the rim.
Day 2
Predawn clim to the top. See sunset and go down to the rim. Climb down the craterrim to the lake. Bathe in hotwatersprings. Camp at the lake.
Day 3
Climb back to the rim and descent in 7 hours to Sembalun. Stay in nice simple hotel.
